(No comment on whether this release is meant to bolster his street credibility after being, ahem, busted earlier this month.) Booth-approved beat crew elect not to tamper too much with greatness on the production tip, accenting the aforementioned joint’s iconic bassline with a club-friendlier rhythm section. While and guest ’ rhymes here are more swagger than gangster, they make sure to pepper their bars with plenty of references to the West Coast classics.
